SEATTLE (AP) — A Seattle tour company involved in a deadly crash in September has announced it will resume passenger tours Friday in their amphibious vehicles.

Ride the Ducks of Seattle made the announcement Thursday, saying passenger service will be relaunched at 11 a.m. Friday.

Officials said in a news release the first two tours are already sold out.

A crash Sept. 24 killed five international college students when a repurposed military "duck boat" swerved into an oncoming charter bus on the Aurora Bridge, a six-lane span with no median barrier.

The company's operations were suspended by the commission days after the accident.

After a three-hour hearing in December, the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission allowed the tour company to resume operations with different vehicles than the one involved in the crash.
