The longtime Kingdome and Safeco Field vendor was 67.

Rick Kaminski, also known as "Rick The Peanut Man" died overnight at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, due to complications from a brain aneurysm.  Kaminski had entertained Mariners fans with his ability to toss bags of peanuts with speed and accuracy since 1977.

My wife and I had a chance to meet and visit with Rick one year at Spring Training in Peoria, AZ.  After finding out that my wife Sandy was a banker for Banner Bank at the time, he peppered her with questions about borrowing against property he owned in Woodinville.

He will be sorely missed by sports fans all over the Northwest.
