If you can help, Yakima city officials are hoping you will step forward and donate money to help improve Randall Park in Yakima.

They say an anonymous donor is promising an additional $100,000 dollar gift for Randall Park if community members would match it dollar for dollar.

Parks and Recreation officials say if the public steps up to the challenge and the money is raised, park restrooms could be re-placed, trails restored and modern playground equipment installed.

Individuals, business owners, local charitable groups, and others are encouraged to make a tax deductible donation between now and Aug. 11. You can send donations to the “Randall Park Improvement Challenge” to the Yakima Valley Community Foundation at 111 University Parkway, Suite 102, Yakima, Washington, 98901 or you can call the parks department at 509-576-6416.
