Repaving Work May Affect Your Drive On Yakima Avenue

A three-block section of Yakima Avenue will be closed to all traffic for a good portion of the day Monday while crews repair and repave the street. Yakima Avenue between 19th and 22nd avenues will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. while the project is underway.

Detour routes using 19th Avenue, 22nd Avenue and Park Avenue will available to allow drivers to avoid the project area. During the project, traffic delays are likely. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be affected, but will be maintained when possible. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary. As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily, depending on weather, equipment failure or emergencies.
