Fourth District Republican Congressman Doc Hastings has been re-elected to a tenth term in Congress.  He easily beat Democrat Mary Baechler in Tuesdays election.  Hastings believes that the overriding message of this election was that the American people want the house and senate and the President to work together.  On "The Mike Bastinelli Show," Hastings said "This was a status quo election, the American people re-elected the Republican majority in the house, they re-elected the Democratic majority in the Senate and they re-elected Barack Obama as President, each of us feel that we bring something to the table because we were voted in by the American people.  Hastings says one issue where common ground may be found is tax reform. Hastings also said he remains confident in the House leadership of John Boehner and Eric Cantor, despite the call from some conservatives to change the leadership team.
