In December 2000, the U.S. Congress passed into law The National Moment of Remembrance Act which encourages all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3pm local time on Memorial Day for a minute of silence to remember and honor those who have died in service to the nation.

If you do nothing else remember that our soldiers died for our nation's freedom, so you could have the freedom to lead the life you want.  Make the most of that opportunity secured through the sacrifice of our military men and women.
