  • An organization that teaches golf and life skills is looking to get more girls involved.

Molly Thola, Director of Yakima's First Tee program, says the organization recently received funding from the LPGA to get more girls to grab a club and hit the course.

“The LPGA has written a program just for girls to get them more involved and engaged in the game of golf.”

The program that teaches kids golf but also social skills at the same time is in operation throughout the U.S. as well as right here in Yakima.

For any girl ages 7 to 17 that would like to get involved, contact First Tee of Yakima at 949-6349 or Google First Tee on the internet.
