Red Wine and Chocolate Open One More Night

For the people who missed the opening day of the Red Wine and Chocolate event, or were scared off by the rain, there is still one more day to enjoy the vintners around the Yakima Valley.

The Red Wine and Chocolate event is a tradition the precedes the Spring Barrel tasting as the wine industry tries to bring in shoppers during some quiet times in business. The hours of the event usually are 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $35 at different wineries around the valley.

There will also be commemorative wine glasses for participants who tour six different wineries over the weekend.

Organizers of the event told the Yakima Herald that they expected around 1,000 visitors over the weekend.
