Now that Christmas has passed, many people are thinking about how to get rid of their Christmas tree.

Camp Primetime started their 24th annual free Christmas tree recycling program Thursday in Yakima. The service is free but donations are encouraged. All the money benefits the camp for disabled and seriously ill children.

"Recycle the trees instead of being thrown on the roadside or in the land fill or something like that." Jim Russell of Camp Primetime told KNDO News. "Plus it helps keep Camp Primetime going and that's important."

The recycling service has two locations in Yakima; Washington Tractor on Fruitvale Avenue and Colonial Lawn and Garden on West Washington Avenue. The event raised $15,000 for the camp in 2012.
