Members of the the group Reopen Washington are frustrated the Governor is planning to extend a stay-at-home order beyond May 4. He's expected to release details on Friday afternoon. Group members, many who are business owners believe the governor isn't listening to them and say the only way they know out of the current situation is to rally for change. So that's what's happening Friday. Many people throughout the region are planning to attend.
The rally on Friday is planned for 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the entrance to the Yakima County Courthouse. The courthouse is closed to the public but many officials including the Yakima County Commission are still working through the Pandemic.
Another rally is planned in Benton County Friday. The rally starts at 3:00 p.m. at the Benton County Courthouse.
