Six people face charges this week in connection with a raid on six Asian massage parlors on Saturday.

Yakima Police, along with authorities from U.S. Homeland Security and the state Department of Health, conducted raids at all the parlors on Saturday afternoon, arresting the six people on suspicion of prostitution and operating without a license. The businesses were temporarily closed on Saturday as well.

All six suspects were arrested and placed in the Yakima County jail on Saturday night. All face charges this week in Yakima County Superior Court. Police say the arrests were the result of an ongoing investigation in which undercover officers were used to solicit sex at two of the businesses raided on Saturday.

The businesses raided Saturday were Far East Spa at 1517 Summitview Ave.; Sunshine Massage at 901 W. Yakima Ave.; Oriental Spa at 707 N. First St.; Asian Massage at 1111 N. First St.; Lavender Spa at 4809 Tieton Drive; and Asian Foot Massage at 1102 W. Lincoln Ave. City officials say they will move to revoke licenses of the six businesses this week in Yakima.
