kima

In an event open to the public, the Yakima County Democrats will hold a Presidential Inauguration Celebration Breakfast in Yakima’s Howard Johnson Plaza from 8 to 11 a.m. this morning.

“I want to emphasize that this will be a public gathering, not a party fundraiser,” said new Yakima county Democratic Party chair Dany Adolf. We hope, he added, that the low impact $20 fee will cover the cost of the buffet, room and big screens.

“The breakfast is outreach by myself and the other new county officers to join like-minded citizens to witness this historic event before going off to the Martin Luther King Jr. march.”

Breakfast buffet service will begin at 8 a.m., At 9 a.m., President Barack Obama will take the oath of office and deliver his inaugural address
