Proposed Plaza On City Agenda Tuesday

The Yakima City Council will talk about the proposed downtown plaza when it meets at city hall Tuesday night. Economic Development Director Sean Hawkins will update the council on the current design plans. He'll also talk about  how the project was initiated, why a plaza was identified in the revitalization process, give a description of key project elements, an update where the design is today, an update on the public private partnership and next steps towards the completion of the design process. The council is expected to vote on the future of the project within the next 6 months when construction documents are made available.
