Prince Is Back On Top Of The Charts
Saturday Night Live dusted off all their old Prince appearances for a special over the weekend it got great ratings. I enjoyed watching Prince’s changing look over the years. As is almost always the case, the passing of a major artist like PRINCE puts their music back at the top of the charts.
"The Very Best of Prince" sold 179-thousand total units for the week that ended Thursday, the day he died, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The "Purple Rain" soundtrack is in at number two, selling 69-thousand total units. Another Prince collection, the double-disc "The Hits/The B-Sides" re-enters the chart at number six. One thing you can count on, Prince’s music will be played and enjoyed for decades to come.
