I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to chat with some of the people who are vacating their current seats, leaving them open them open for election.

The goal was to learn more about what the job entails as well as what kind of traits or qualities a person might need to succeed at the job.

Ballots went out for the primary on July 16 and are due to the Yakima County auditor by Aug. 5.
