We always thought that if Grandma cooked it, it was better because it was “made with love”. It that really possible? Perhaps so,

Researchers from frozen food company Birds Eye made fed two groups of participants an identical Christmas dinner. One group ate their meal in a festively decorated room after being told their food had been lovingly prepared using family-favorite recipes, while the other group ate in a sparingly decorated room. After the meal both groups rated the flavor, taste, and perceived preparation effort of their meals.

The group from the festive room believed their meal tastes better, giving an average score of 4.3 out of five, while the second group rated the meal an average score of 3.4 out of five.

Even with Grandma’s goodies, perception is reality! (Daily Mail)
