They’ve been a long time coming but the 2016 Party Conventions are almost upon us.  The Republicans will meet July 18-21 in Cleveland, followed by the Democrats in Philadelphia on July 25-28.  Television ratings are expected to be through the roof. What do you expect in terms of protests, police and violence around each one?  Tim Bryce, our businessman, blogger, consultant comrade looks at that in his latest column.

“Perhaps the biggest difference between the two conventions is simply: there will be more police OUTSIDE of the Cleveland convention, and more police INSIDE the Philadelphia convention. Whereas there will likely be anti-Trump protesters in Cleveland to disrupt the convention, the Democrats will be fighting among themselves over the platforms of Hillary Clinton versus Bernie Sanders.”

Will the ghosts of 1968 Chicago protestors rise up?  Will the conventions be open as promised 4 years ago – “the Democrats promised their convention will be "the most open and accessible in history," while the Republicans promised "A Convention Without Walls."

It all remains to be seen but you can read Tim’s further thoughts here timbryce.com .
