Pothole Repair to Cause Some Traffic Delays

As the city ramps up its spring and summer road work projects, another pair of city streets will see delays or closure this upcoming week.

Starting March 31, Chestnut Avenue will have block-by-block closures starting at 19th Avenue all the way to 32nd Avenue to the west. The closures will start at 6:00 a.m. and run until 4:00 p.m. Monday until Thursday.

April 1st will see the closure of 24th Avenue between Lincoln and Summitview Avenues from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The road work is designed to fill in potholes and repair cracks in the streets.

The city warns that there will be delays and heavier traffic on alternate routes throughout the week.
