he calculations are underway at the Post Office and the numbers are up and they’re big, really, really big!

We haven’t even had a chance to fight over the Thanksgiving turkey wishbone yet and already the US Postal Service says they expect to deliver approximately 15.5 billion cards, letters, flats, and packages during the upcoming holiday season. In addition, they are projecting approximately 600 million packages will be delivered between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, an increase of 10.5 percent over last year’s volume.

Moving that much mail means jobs. The Post Office also says they plan to hire an additional 30-thousand employees for the holiday season as well.

Sorry for the short notice but tomorrow, Nov 07, is the deadline for mailing packages for armed forces --to APO/FPO/DPO boxes.
