If you live in the Yakima Valley it's likely you've tried Micks Pepporri Pepper Jelly. It's made by the Mick family in Yakima. Virginia "Ginger" Mick says she and her late husband started the business in Yakima more than 30 years ago in their Yakima kitchen as a way to support their son in college. Today Mick says they make a big variety of pepper jelly. "We have 33 different kinds but half are hot and half are mild because they're made from peppers."
And Mick says they're local peppers from Krueger Pepper Farms in Wapato.
And Mick says they wouldn't be in business Today without being able to sell Micks Pepporri Jelly at the famous Pike Place Market in Seattle.
It's now made in a commercial kitchen in Yakima.  You can purchase the jelly online at micks.com or you can buy the jelly at the Red Barn, Wrays Thriftways and the Yakima Visitors Center near Target.
