Yakima police have released the names of the two suspects killed in a home invasion early Sunday. Spokesman Mike Bastinelli says they are 24-year-old Chase Daniel Rogers and 31-year-old Brian Joaquin Perez, both of Yakima.

Bastinelli says the two suspects forced their way into a home in the 1900 block of South 64th Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday and confronted three family members. But Bastinelli says police are still trying to figure out the motive. "We don't know if they went there with robbery as the motive or for some other reason," he said. "We're still investigating that."
Bastinelli says when the two suspects entered the home they were confronted by three family members and a knife fight started. It ended with the two suspects suffering fatal wounds. The family members were treated at a local hospital and released on Sunday.
Bastinelli says the suspects left the home and tried to get away in a car, but they were both found dead outside the home. Police found one knife in the home that belonged to the homeowners. They haven't had a chance yet to search the suspects' vehicle.
The names of the family members are not being released as the investigation continues today.
