Yakima Police say two suspects robbed the Burger King restaurant at 1605 Terrace Heights Way early Thursday morning. Police spokesman Mike Bastenilli says an employee walked out of the restaurant at about 3:15 a.m. to change a sign when the two masked suspects confronted him in the parking lot. Bastinelli says at least one had a gun. The employee was forced back inside and the suspects stole money and ran from the restaurant.
Bastinelli says robbery is one of a rash of robberies reported since early April. Police believe the same suspects may have robbed the Ahtanum Market on Tuesday.  Police plan a meeting next week with small store owners to help them deal with the ongoing crime.
