Police Investigating Robbery at Motel

Yakima Police were called to a  North First Street motel early Thursday morning to check on an injured man.

At roughly 4 a.m., officers found the 48-year-old with trauma to his head. He had received a blow to his head and his wallet had also been stolen, police reported.

Despite the injuries, the man was conscious and transported to a local hospital to be treated for facial and head injuries.

At this time police have no information on a possible suspect and are continuing to investigate the incident.
