Police Chief Wants To Talk To You In 2015

Yakima Police Chief Dominic Rizzi says it's his quest to open communication between the police department and citizens of Yakima in 2015. Rizzi says he wants to start the Coffee With a Cop program and create other ways police can directly interact with people they serve in Yakima. And one of the ways you can keep in touch with the YPD is through it's app. If you have a smartphone the Yakima Police Department has an app you can download. Rizzi says you can do long list of things with the app. You can report non-emergency crimes and concerns. If you have a student in a local school there's information about security in the schools. There's also a police directory, a most wanted area and even a link to show you who's being housed in the city jail.
