All budding author’s are told to “write what you know” and Carolina Williams knows pizza and did it ever pay off.

Williams is a recent graduate of Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee, with an option to attend prestigious Yale University because an admissions officer noted her standout answer to a short-essay prompt to write about something she loves to do which in her case was ordering pizza from Papa John's.

It wasn’t ALL about the pepperoni - she also ranked in the top 10 of her graduating class and participated in several extracurricular activities. Despite her Ivy League acceptance, the pizza-loving scholar has actually decided to attend Auburn University in Alabama to pursue business, noting that the college seemed like a better fit and she had better scholarships opportunities.

The people at Papa John's were thrilled with Williams' news and even sent her congratulatory tweet.  No word on a year’s supply of pizza for those late night study sessions! (Fox)
