If you use Randall park you'll have to drive into the park a different way for the next six to eight weeks starting this week. The Randall Park parking lot on 48th Avenue will be closed starting this week, for tree removal, existing parking lot removal and construction of a new parking lot.  Included in the project is the addition of a new bridge that will once again allow people to access the nature area in the northwest part of the Randall Park.  The closure is expected to last six to eight weeks.

Removal and replacement of the parking lot should begin August 1st. Work on the new bridge, which replaces one removed in 2011 due to deterioration, is expected to begin in mid-August.
New parking lot poles and light fixtures will be installed for added safety.

Park visitors can use the Randall Park Dog Park lot located south of the parking lot and Wide Hollow Creek while the 48th Avenue parking lot work is underway.
