All good parents know it’s important to set digital limits—only two hours of TV a night, half an hour for video games, turn off the computer at 8pm, etc.  Good job Mom, well played Dad, but how well can you parent yourself when it comes to electronic devices?

The results of a new study reported in the (Daily Mail) makes a pretty good case for why a personal parental plan might be in order!  The data shows the average adult spends eight hours and 21 minutes per day sleeping, and eight hours and 41 minutes on their devices.

In fact, 81 percent of Smartphone users have their phone switched on at all times, even while they're in bed.

Fifty one percent admit they spend more time checking emails and using the internet than they do eating breakfast (18%) or primping (32%.)  Sleep and energy experts recommend turning off all devices at least 60 to 90 minutes before going to sleep in order to give the mind time to wind down.
