The C-124A Globemaster built by the Douglas Corporation was carrying 105 servicemen, and 10 crew members when it lifted off into the eastern Washington sky at 6:27 a.m. on December 20, 1952.
Portland is not built for heatwaves. In a city that statistically rains more than Seattle (it's true, look it up), Portland is the type of town that doesn't need AC units in people's homes and does need sprinklers based on its climate.
