Ballots are going out next week for the upcoming general  election. Kathy Fisher, the Election Supervisor for Yakima County says close to 107,000 ballots will go out Wednesday.
Fisher says "this will be a busy ballot. Local city and town government races, school  board races, fire and sewer district commisioenr races and a couple of ballot measures. Yakima voters will vote on prop one which would require  a two-thirds majority of the city council to raise taxes."
It's also not to late to register to voter. You can do so at the Yakima County Auditors office in room 117 of the county courthouse.  You have until October 28th to register to vote.
