Oregon Man Dies After Crash in Washington Bike Race
AUBURN, Wash. (AP) — An Oregon man was killed over the weekend during a bike race near Flaming Geyser State Park in Washington state. King County officials said Monday the man hit a guard rail and was transported to Harborview where he later died of his injuries.
The 29-year-old from Albany, Oregon, was riding downhill on Saturday morning when he lost control of his bicycle and collided with a guardrail.
The King County sheriff's office is investigating the accident.
