kima

One person was killed and two injured in a crash near Wapato Wednesday afternoon. Washington State Patrol Troopers say 29-year-old Marciano Diazmorfin of Toppenish was driving northbound on Lateral B Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign. His vehicle slammed into a vehicle heading westbound on Progressive Road, driven by 31-year-old Andrea Bobb of Wapato. Both Bobb and one of her passengers, 24-year-old Katie Thompson of Wapato, were taken to Yakima Memorial Hospital.

Bobb’s other passenger, 56-year-old Evelyn Broncheau of Wapato, was killed at the scene. Diazmorfin was not hurt. An investigation is underway.
