One Million Dollars Bail Set in Childs Murder Suspect

34 year old Armando Vieyra sits in the Yakima County jail this morning after being charged last week with first degree premeditated murder in the death of 70 year old David Childs. Vieyra is being held on a million dollars bail and faces a number of hearings before an actual trial gets underway. Childs was a longtime Yakima resident and loved by many in the community. Police are still investigating the murder. Police say Vieyra has admitted to pushing Childs to the ground in a downtown parking lot last month, but denies killing him.
