• Washington State Patrol is investigating what caused a fatal accident near Toppenish Friday afternoon.WSP says 58-year-old Bradley Wolf of Des Moines was riding a motorcycle south on State Route 97 near milepost 55, about 7 miles south of Toppenish, when he tried to pass a car. Wolf's motorcycle ended up hitting the back of the car.

    Wolf was taken to Toppenish Community Hospital, where he died. Troopers say Wolf was wearing a helmet. The driver of the car was not hurt.

    No charges will be filed.

  • A second crash occurred overnight on Rivard Road.Paul Russo was driving a red Ford Escape down Rivard Road when he turned onto State Route 24, crossed the center line and struck a Ford Explorer driven by Juan Sanchez.

    Russo was transported to Yakima Regional after suffering some injuries. Sanchez was not injured. Russo's Escape was totaled.

    Russo will face charges of driving over the center line.
