One man is dead and another is in a Prosser hospital today after the two were pulled from the Yakima River near Prosser on Wednesday night. Officials with the Prosser Fire Department say the two brothers, both in their 20s, were fishing and swimming in the river near Hess Road between Prosser and Benton City.

The two went for a swim around 5:15 p.m. when witnesses saw the two struggling in the water.

Crews were able to pull one man to shore about a half hour after going missing.

Paramedics took him to Prosser Memorial Hospital.

Crews found the body of the second man about an hour later.

This is the same area where another man drowned just two weeks ago. Twenty-one-year-old Antonio Hermosillo Jr., of Prosser, drowned June 9. He was in the area fishing with friends.
