Summer’s coming and she’s bringing a long list of outdoor concerts with her.  Groups like Nickleback,  Zac Brown and Dave Matthews will soon be criss-crossing the country hoping to catch your ear.  A lifestyle website has a list of the top outdoor concert venues and as usual the Gorge at George represents for Washington State.   Here’s how Livability-dot-com describes the jewel of the Northwest.

“The gorgeous Gorge amphitheater in Washington state is one of the largest on the list, with a capacity of 27,500. But what it lacks in intimacy, it makes up for in unbelievable views of the Columbia River and Cascade mountain range. It also gets bonus points for being extra camper-friendly, which is always a plus for summer festivals.”

Some Gorge highlights this season will include the Sasquatch Festival, Paradiso Festival and the monster 3 day country festival called Watershed.

Also making the top venue list with the Gorge are:

Austin 360 Amphitheater - Austin, Texas

Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica - Cleveland, Ohio

Red Rocks - Morrison, CO - near Denver, Colo.

Klipsch Music Center - Noblesville, Ind. – near Indianapolis, Ind.

Hollywood Bowl - Los Angeles, Calif.

The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel - Whites Creek, Tenn.
