COVINGTON (AP) -- A King County sheriff's spokesman says officers have found a stash of stolen property in a south county house. Among the items found is a World War II Japanese katana-style sword.

Sgt. B.J. Myers says an investigation of drugs and stolen property led detectives from Maple Valley, Covington and the sheriff's office to the house in  Covington early Friday. Detectives searched the house after a SWAT team secured it, finding items believed stolen from throughout south King County.

Two people were arrested for investigation of narcotics.

Myers says the sword has already been returned to the family of the late Marine veteran who brought it home. A fellow Marine now working as a deputy knew about the loss and recognized the sword. It was stolen in January.

Detectives will be working to identify the owners of the other items.
