Nostalgic TV Commercials Bring Back More Christmas Memories – Brian’s Blog [VIDEO]

After seeing a TV commercial for one of those iconic "As Seen On TV" Christmas gift items recently, my colleague Lance Tormey and I started to reminisce about all of those classic Ronco products ads we saw back in the 1970s and 1980s.

After watching a commercial for that classic gift item the Chia Pet Thursday morning, Lance and I started talking about TV commercials that we used to see at Christmas time. We talked about how seeing those spots became almost as much a part of our traditions as hearing holiday music on the radio or seeing the Christmas specials on TV.

The first one that came to mind was the Ronco Smokeless Ashtray. Lance actually remembered buying one as a gift for his grandfather.

Then there was the Ronco Bottle and Jar Cutter.

Or how about the Ronco Record Vacuum? I actually have one of these in my garage.

Or Mr. Microphone?

But my absolute favorite has to be the various incarnations of the Norelco Santa through the years!
