The Colossal, Gigantic and Fabulous Town Square Media Yard Sale is coming fast so set aside some non-perishable food items for Northwest Harvest so you can save a buck on the 3 dollar admission.  You may also want to help a couple of local businesses in their efforts to help out the food bank.  Northwest Harvest sent us the following public service announcement just for YOU:

Tuesday, 4/28 is Charity Spotlight Night at Yakima Craft’s Taproom on the Ave in Yakima!    Come down to the Taproom after work on Tuesday night, enjoy food and drink specials and learn more about the non-profit food bank distributor, Northwest Harvest, and how they feed the hungry right here in our community.

Yakima Craft Brewing is giving back to the community by donating 15% of their proceeds from the evening to Northwest Harvest, and they will also be a drop site for non-perishable food donations through the end of May.

Sunday, 5/3 is Community Day at Apple Tree Golf Course in Yakima!   The course will be offering a reduced rate starting at noon of $59 for 18 holes and a cart (regularly $75) to golfers that book their tee time in person, on the phone, or online at appletreegolf.com and use the promo code “NW Harvest”.

Apple Tree will donate $10 (which is 45 meals!) from those rounds to Northwest Harvest to help fight hunger right here in the Yakima area.   There will also be some fun “cheat for charity” holes out on the course that day that golfers can participate in that will help to provide meals for the hungry.
