Non-Profit Organizations Running Out of Time to Apply for Grant
The Junior League of Yakima is still accepting applications for grant money, but the deadline is less than a month away.
The League says that a total of $9,555 will be given away. They have donated a total of $47,000 over the past seven years.
Junior League is looking for non-profit organizations that have goals that coincide with the mission of the League along with other criteria. According to the press release, “The Junior League of Yakima is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.”
Members of the Junior League will also volunteer at the organizations that win the grant money. The winners in 2013 included the Union Gospel Mission, Junior Acheivement and Memorial Hospital among others.
Organizations that are interested in applying can get the form by phone at 966-0930, online at juniorleagueofyakima.org or can request it by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline is Feb. 7 and the rest of the month will be used for review and judging. The grant winners will be announced in March.
