Nominate Your Favorite Teacher for the 26th Anniversary Crystal Apple Awards

Nominate your favorite Yakima School District educator for the 26th Anniversary Crystal Apple Award today! Local businesses and corporations sponsor the program that honors classroom teachers, educational teams and other certificated educators in the district.

The program calls attention to the teaching profession by identifying a few of the many educators who positively affect the lives and futures of Yakima students. Each honoree will be awarded a $1,000 Monday, May 6, at the Yakima Convention Center.

Nomination forms for the 2013 John McAlister Crystal Apple Awards program are available at any school or the district Community Relations Office at 104 North Fourth Avenue. Members of the public are encouraged to submit nominations. Completed forms should be sent to Crystal Apple Awards, c/o Dave Dion, RBC Wealth Management, 925 Triple Crown Way, Yakima, 98908. The deadline for nominations is Thursday, March 14.
