No News On Write-In Candidate In Yakima County Until Next Week

Hurst Brumback Brusic

Write-in candidate Michael Scott Brumback won’t know until next week if he’ll be in a General Election race for the 14th District legislative seat held by Rep. Norm Johnson. Because of the size of the district, the Secretary of State’s office says when the election is certified on Aug. 19 all the final vote totals from the district will be reported.

The 14th district includes all of Klickitat and Skamania counties, most of western Yakima County and a slice of eastern Clark County.
The final numbers for the Yakima County clerk’s office will be available Aug. 19 as well to determine who will be the top two contenders in that race.
