No Major Fires During The 4th of July. Firefighters on High Alert

kit

Even though it was hot and dry and plenty of people were lighting fireworks no major fires were reported in the valley during the 4th of July. A small fire was reported in the Moxee area, but firefighters were able to douse the flames after they burned about 5 acres and so far no major fireworks related injuries have been reported in Yakima as well. Firefighters are still on high alert and expect to deal with fireworks related calls today and Friday.
