While the state of California is in a severe drought, there are no worries like that yet for Washington.

Chuck Garner with the Bureau of Reclamation in Yakima says he is not worried because it is still to early in the year.

”I’ve seen us get pulled out of the situation. February, March, April we can just get dumped on up there so it’s to early to tell.”

Garner says the first total water supply meeting is not until March so he is hoping for some big snow next month.

Even if it does not snow big next month, Garner says there is still March and April, two months that could result in big snow in the Washington cascades.
