The Yakima City Council on Tuesday delayed a decision on expanding the areas where recreational marijuana can be sold within city limits. The council Tuesday reviewed a decision by the Yakima Planning Commission to deny a request to allow retail marijuana sales in the light industrial zones in the city. The owner of the Slow Burn store in Union Gap wants to open a store on Third Street in the former location of Max’s Tavern. The council wants more information before making a final decision in the matter. The council plans to review the matter at a later date.
