Road Work May Cause Delays

While a grind and overlay project is underway, D Street between 1^st Street and 3^rd Avenue will be closed to traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m daily from May 14 to May 17.

Additionally, Front Street will be closed to southbound traffic at E Street, although northbound traffic will still be allowed on Front Street. Drivers will also be able to cross D Street at 1^st Avenue and 2^nd Avenue, but will not be allowed to make any turns onto D Street. Flaggers will help drivers get to businesses and homes in the area until the project is complete. Unless drivers are going to specific locations within the project area, they are encouraged to use alternate routes.

A grind and overlay project involves removing old and deteriorated asphalt and replacing it with new asphalt. Once the project is complete, the driveability and safety of the road surface will be significantly improved.
