• A one-vehicle crash Saturday took the lives of two people from Walla Walla.

    State Patrol Troopers say it happened at about 3:00 p.m. on us Highway 97 seven miles north of Ellensburg.

    Officials say 85-year-old Benjamin Green was driving his Buick LeSabre southbound when he lost control of the vehicle and it flipped over into a ditch. His 83-year-old wife, Naomi Green was also killed. She was wearing a seabelt but Benjamin Green was not.

    The couple died at the scene of the crash.

    They started under your Christmas trees and now those boxes that contained computers, televisions and tablets are leaving clues for thieves.

    Yakima Police say thieves can spot those empty boxes and know exactly what is inside.

    Police say just break down the boxes and make sure they are not in plain sight.
