New Upscale Shopping Center Planned

kimatv

A new business center is planned for a piece of property near the Yakima airport. Land developer Jerry Maggard president of Advanced Real Estate, tells our news partner KIMA Action News he plans to break ground this year on a new upscale complex on Washington and 24th Avenue. Office suites would anchor the complex with 10 stores surrounding the suites. Maggard says he is not worried about filling the space. He feels confident in its location not only because of its proximity to the airport but because he calls it a hidden gem. Maggard says there is more traffic at Washington and 24th Avenue than there is at 1st Street and Yakima Avenue.

The project will cost about $4.5 million. Maggard says two larger phases could be added if it is successful.
