Two Yakima City Council members have started an effort to name a street in honor of Yakima's Marine Corps Unit Bravo Company 4th Tank Battalion. Council members Bill Lover and former Battalion Marine Tom Dittmar are hoping to convince the city to name a new street being developed for the former mill site. Dittmar, who was the Bravo Company Maintenance Chief when the company fought in Desert Storm in 1990 and 1991 says they're still developing the plans to name the new street Bravo Company Blvd. and Dittmar is hoping a roundabout planned near the site could be made into a memorial for every branch of the military.
