A special park in Selah, called Volunteer Park will soon be built for people with physical disabilities and when finished, it'll be the first one in the region.  Charlie Brown the Director of the Selah Parks Department says the city won a  $380,000.00 grant to help pay for it and they've been working to come up with matching funds and they met that goal this week. So he says a new more than $700,000 park is now planned for the city. "We're going to start as soon as possible. We have to wait until everything is signed by the state. But we hope to have it done by May of next year." The park will include new playground equipment, wheelchair friendly sidewalks, restrooms, and picnic tables, as well as a fence around the park to keep it more secure.  And Wednesday the Kiwanis Club of Yakima will present Selah with a $10,000 check to help fund the park. Brown says any money leftover after the match with the state will be used to enhance the park.
