New Fire On Yakima Training Center Burns Overnight

Kittitas County Sheriff's Deputies and Firefighters are working to get a new fire burning on the Yakima Training Center land near Vantage under control. Crews worked overnight to douse the flames that caused evacuations near Vantage on Thursday.

Level 1 evacuation order: from Vantage proper to the State Park on Huntzinger Road.
Level 2 evacuation order: south from the State Park on Huntzinger Road including Auvil.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
